Using Aloe Vera for Cuts and Wounds

Important Note:
This text refers to Aloe Vera as defined on our page Good Quality Aloe Vera. We also strongly recommend you read the FAQ: How Much Aloe Vera Should I Drink?

For small cuts and grazes apply a good quality or fresh Aloe Vera gel to the wound.

If the wound is deep flush it out with a Aloe Vera mixed with water. Pack the wound with a good quality or fresh Aloe Vera gel and bandage. Remove the bandage daily and repeat.

If the wound has dirt in it clean it first with a mixture of water and Aloe Vera gel either by flushing it out (deep wounds) or applied to cotton pads on small cuts or grazes.

If the wound is very sensitive put the Aloe Vera gel in a clean container with a spray nosel and spray it onto the wound.

Note good quality Aloe Vera is antibacterial as well as a skin cell growth accellerator so it will be doing two jobs at once.

How long will it take for Aloe Vera to work with Cuts and Wounds?

Healing time depends on the depth and size of the wound but generally expect the healing rate to be twice as fast as a wound left to heal unaided.
