I had allergic dermatitis on an eyelid, on the inner lid/crease/fold area. While waiting to get in to see my Dr for an Rx and to Check that there were no other eye problems, I put some aloe on my eyelid. When it dried, I also added a thin layer of Vaseline. I was careful to use small amounts of each so as to not have them seep into my eyes. The lid was already itchy and irritated and dry, in addition to being swollen. Aloe gel is usually a bit taught after it dries, and my lids needed moisture anyway. This was at night - the next am, swelling, itching, and irritation was improved. I reapplied the same combo for the next few days. I did go on to see my dr and get an Rx, but the combination of the aloe and the moisturizing effect of the vaseline certainly seemed to mitigate my symptoms, offer me some relief, and buy me a little time to get to the dr.

I will have allergic reactions, dermatitis, from some hand soaps. It causes extreme, red, painful rash. I had a constant burning sensation. I was using all types of remedies, but then two weeks into it a friend gave me a piece of aloe from her plant. The MINUTE I applied it to the area and honestly, upon contact my skin felt soothed. I applied it a couple of times for two days; the redness dissipated. The only thing left was the extremely dry skin. For this, I used Eucerin Aquaphor healing ointment. The aloe vera cured it, the added ointment alleviated the dryness. Thank goodness!!

Recommendations

Use aloe vera for skin irritants, especially what I experience from soaps.

I had a rash on my neck, it was very small bumps, and my skin was very dry. My skin would hurt when I turned by neck. I tried different oils on my neck, with some relief, but still my neck was irritated.
I remembered I had some fresh aloe in the refrigerator, I apply the aloe to my neck. I rubbed the entire are with the aloe.
Within minutes my neck felt, less tight, and the rash was not as itchy.
It has now been 48 hours and my neck is almost back to normal...

Recommendations

Use aloe vera plant. It is a remarkable plant, and the money you save. If I had gone to a doctor, the visit, and the prescription bill would have been high.

I was diagnosed with follicle dermatitis on the palm of my hands. I've been suffering from it for about 1 year and applying cortisone cream on and off. Someone told me about the gel from the therapeutic aloe vera plant and decided to try it. It's amazing. The minute I applied it I could feel a soothing effect. I kept doing that a number of times a day after buying a couple of plants of my own and in about a few days it got so much better. I do not have to use cortisone cream anymore. Since the plants hasn't got that many stems now I substitute it by using Forever Living Aloe Vera Jelly. It's almost as good.
